Fees depend on the programs offered and the hours per week for the group your child attends.
The Department of Education and Training (DET) provides a contribution towards kindergarten fees through a number of initiatives. Primarily though per Capita Funding – where a contribution towards the costs of delivering three-year-old kindergarten (up to five hours) and four-year-old kindergarten (up to 15 hours) is provided. Income from other sources, primarily fees, is required to meet the additional costs incurred by Sunnyside in the delivery of the program.
All fees are reviewed annually by the Committee of Management taking into consideration costs, government funding, availability of grants, fees charged by similar services in the area and to ensure they are sensitive to families’ financial situations.
Families experiencing financial difficulties can contact the Sunnyside Treasurer in writing. Each case will be considered on its merits and in the strictest confidence.
The Department of Education (DET) released guidelines for Free Kinder for 2023 in August 2022.
Providers have the choice to opt in to the Free Kinder program. The Committee of Management has decided to opt into the Free Kinder Program for 2024. Further information regarding the fee structure of our programs is provided below.
