Our educators come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and share a passion and dedication to bringing the best out of children. Working in small groups, our educators bring different personalities and skills together to provide your children with a fun and enjoyable experience.
The teaching team brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and have over a combined 194 years of teaching experience! All our staff have various qualifications under their belt with our lead educators having all completed Bachelor degrees in education with some also furthering their education through completing Postgraduate studies. At Sunnyside Kindergarten, we’re committed to the ongoing growth and education of our team and pride ourselves on the knowledge and skill of our highly qualified staff.
Sunnyside Kindergarten operations are managed by a voluntary Committee of Management consisting of parents whose children are enrolled at the kindergarten. The committee’s responsibility is the overall running of the kindergarten on behalf of parents including: managing financial affairs, staffing requirements, adherence to the Victorian Department of Education and Training regulations, fundraising events, social functions and communicating with families. The members of the association elect the committee, but it is also answerable to the Department of Education and Training.
Above all else, the main objective of the Committee must be to ensure the optimum benefit to the children attending Sunnyside. Committee meetings are held approximately once a month and typically run for 2-3 hours. The Annual General Meeting is held in November.

All committee members require a cleared police check and working with children check.
